Oscar season is now in full swing, so it’s time to have a look at Oscar nomination 2019 to know what movies are the major candidates for Best Picture. While there is still a very long way to go until the race has been settled, the likes of the National Board of Review, the American Film Institute, and Golden Globes have offered a bit of clarity to the event, so here is our latest rundown of this likeliest Oscar best picture.

Kevin Hart resigned in the hosting place three times after it had been declared he would front the Oscars red carpet. In a post on Twitter, the comic addressed the controversy that had surrounded his own choice, about homophobic tweets and remarks at a stand-up pattern in the past that had resurfaced.

“I’ve made the decision to resign from hosting this year’s Oscars,” he wrote. “That is because I don’t wish to become a diversion on a night which needs to be celebrated by many incredibly talented artists”

His statement came hours later he appeared in a movie on Instagram stating that regardless of the Academy requesting him to do so he wouldn’t apologize for the remarks. In his later conversation, nevertheless, Hart added: “I am sorry I hurt people. I’m evolving and would like to keep doing so. Much love and admiration to the Academy. I hope we could meet again.”

 

When are the Oscars Red Carpet taking place?

The Oscar awards will take place on Sunday 24 February 2019, and will broadcast live on The ABC Television Network.

Bradley Cooper’s romantic drama-musical was long seen as a potential Oscar player, and it’s more than lived up to the hype in that regard and is nominated for Academy Award for best picture. Premiering in Venice back in August, critics and audiences were quick to commend the movie, which is arguably the best rendition of this particular song. A Star is Born rode waves of excellent buzz to a stellar box office haul of $197 million domestically, which is the eleventh-highest total of the year so far.

If there’s anything working against A Star is Born at this juncture, it’s that it’s rarely a fantastic sign to be the massive frontrunner early on in the race. There is plenty of time for the backlash to settle in or late coming to sneak in and steal the thunder. At the moment, however, that seems unlikely to happen for Star is Born. It has the big A-listers supporting it, it’s got the box office, and it contains the critical acclaim and has chances of select for Oscar best picture. It feels like it’ll do quite well on a preferential ballot (where second and third place votes may decide the finest Picture winner), so it’s definitely in the driver’s seat unless start happening.

Each Oscar year has its own fair share of surprises, and Green Book certainly is nominated for Academy Award for best picture. Directed by Peter Farrelly (one-half of the Farrelly brothers directing duo behind comedies such as Dumb and Dumber), few could have expected this could grow into among those most-praised names of this year for Oscar best picture. Premiering into an unsuspecting Toronto audience, Green Book took home the festival’s most coveted People’s Choice Award, which assures it is in the running for its Oscar. Coincidentally, there is another movie this season about a senior citizen who has caught up in a life of crime. Much like Redford, Eastwood is a previous Oscar winner, but not for behaving. He really includes four Academy Awards on his group, two Finest Directors and two Greatest Films (such as Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby). Eastwood was nominated Best Actor for each of the movies but clearly lost out.

Lee’s movie was commended for the deft treat of its catchy subject matter and tone, as it discovered the horror and the comedy of Stallworth’s situation (BlacKkKlansman relies on an actual story).
